Strategic Focus Area – Economic Development

1. Promote regional economic development by having regional economic development organizations to recommend Heart of Florida collaboration strategies.
2. Collaborate with organizations to advance regional economic development support systems such as workforce, training, infrastructure and funding.

Strategic Focus Area – Legislative Advocacy

1. Develop an annual regional legislative agenda to support Regional Economic Vitality and Quality of Life.
2. Develop a communication plan to keep regional issues visible to the Legislative Delegation.

Strategic Focus Area – Marketing/Branding

1. Develop a comprehensive Regional Marketing Plan, including funding, to promote/brand the Heart of Florida Region.
2. Enhance the Heart of Florida Website for marketing the region and providing regional information.

Strategic Focus Area – Regional Transportation

1. Develop a regional advocacy plan that supports air transportation and regional TPO and FDOT transportation plans for the region.

Strategic Focus Area – Regional Water

1. Create an informed and united group of citizens in the Heart of Florida to advocate for sustainable water resources.
2. Develop a regional political caucus involving Alachua, Marion and other North Florida counties to assure local water resources are protected to meet long-range local needs.
3. Advocate for the analysis of regional water needs and the development of a plan for protecting water quantity and quality that involves all three water management districts in the region.

Strategic Focus Area – Arts, Culture & Recreation

1. Develop an Advocacy team among the Regional Arts and Culture organizations to collaborate and develop a plan for sustainable funding and visibility.
2. Develop & support modern facilities and infrastructure necessary to the delivery of quality programs and exhibitions to our citizens and visitors
